Next Boosters Meeting: Monday, April 1, 2024, 7:00 pm
March 17, 2024
May luck be your friend in whatever you do, and may trouble always be a stranger to you. Kudos to those students who took their performances to the next level at State Solo & Ensemble on Saturday. Your high achievement lifts us all!
In the last newsletter, I said that March 8 was the cutoff for any fundraising and volunteering to affect the accounting for the Disney Tour payments. Volunteering through June is still needed and may offset some costs for continuing band students (like Band Camp 2024).
I remain grateful for all those who volunteer, including those who helped put on the Pancake Breakfast to celebrate superior ratings at Band Festival and those who have stepped up to be on the Nominating Committee. If you have an interest in making an impact by stepping into the role of Secretary or Co-Treasurers, please reach out and we will put you in touch with the Committee!
Thanks to those who shared the Panera Earn Dough Dinner flyer or dined out that night; we will receive $138.16 to bolster our scholarship funds!
This Week:
Monday, March 18: 2:30-6:30 PM Butter Braids Fundraiser Distribution Sign up to help make light work and get to know some great people!
Tuesday, March 19: 2:30-4 PM Additional Marching Band Uniform Returns in the Old Choir Room. Rollerama BHS Band Night from 5-8 PM - $25/person for skating and Zap Zone Laser Tag.
Friday, March 22: 2:21 PM Spring Break Begins! School resumes on Monday, April 1. May this be a relaxing and renewing time for you and your family!
Yours in Service,

Welcome!
The Brighton Band Boosters is a non-profit organization of parents and care-givers dedicated to working in partnership with our Band Directors to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our band students. We support all aspects of the band including the marching band, drumline, and color guard, as well as the multiple concert bands at all three schools.
The Boosters are run by a board of volunteers elected by our members each year. We provide all band parents and guardians the opportunity to actively support our amazing band programs by helping with things such as chaperoning events and student socials, helping to move band equipment and distributing uniforms, assisting with concert publicity, fundraising, and more. Our goal is to keep things running smoothly so the band directors can focus on the students and the music. Our fundraising efforts, most notably the sale of concessions during BAS sporting events, provide valuable financial support to the bands.
The Boosters meet once a month. Meetings are open to parents and care-givers from BHS, Scranton and Maltby and include information concerning the future of the band programs, upcoming events, and areas of concern or need. Throughout the year you will receive email newsletters from the Boosters with event updates and volunteer opportunities. To learn more about how you can contribute to the on-going success of our band programs please contact the Booster President JuliAnne Diesch or attend one of our upcoming meetings.
Go Dogs!
